![]() Even by the end, I couldn't help but like the characters that were more antagonistic towards Hinako and crew, because I felt like they had been done justice in how they were written. ![]() I found each of the characters to be likeable in their own unique ways, though I will admit to having a soft spot for cheering on characters that want to thrive and make friends but are too nervous to throw themselves into the social fray, like Chihiro. Which this just so happens to have had roughly around when the sequel came out (though not an adaptation of this particular narrative, nor its sequel). I've been on a pretty big anime binge over the past few years and it kinda satisfied that little itch I didn't know I had for what basically boils down to a playable anime. It very much played out exactly how you would expect an anime set in a similar environment, and I think that might have been one of the key elements that made me gravitate to it so much. ![]() ![]() Honestly, I've had this game since it released (on PS3) and only just now completed the whole game to 100% completion just under six years after the game released, and I have to admit that I really did enjoy it through all the flaws I found in it. Recommending Blue Reflection in today's video gaming market is probably going to be an extremely difficult sell (especially when its standard price tag on Steam is £50), but I feel that despite its flaws (of which there are numerous), it ultimately does what it sets out to do, and that is to tell a wonderful and emotional story with a magical girl theme. ![]()
